We are celebrating 25 years of CSNDSP, which started coming together back in 1997 when we were thinking of an event which should be different to other mainstream conference in the field of communication systems. The idea was to make it a platform focused on topical areas and allowing talented researchers to organise colloquiums, special sessions, workshops, etc. In addition, we wanted to assist authors by providing them with the quality review comments so that they revise their manuscript, which has been a success story so far. CSNDSP is all about the scientific and technical community allowing researcher to meet, discuss ideas, build networks, and make friends and therefore must ensure that it does not get larger. CSNDSP offers several prizes to the best papers and travel grants to young researchers. From 2022 we will grant a research award to the early career research in the memory of Prof Tony Boucouvalas, one of the founding members of CSNDSP and a pioneer in the research area of Optical Wireless Communications.
I would like to thank all those who have been involved with the CSNDSP over the past 25 years. We hope that we will continue to work together to make CSNDSP grow, reaching increasing number of researchers and offering then opportunities to get involved with future events.
One behalf of the Steering Committee I would like to welcome you all to CSNDSP 2022 and hope that you will have a wonderful conference and enjoy your stay in the beautiful city of Porto, in Portugal. Finally, our special thank you to the Local Organising Committee of CSNDSP 2022 for putting together a wonderful programme – I am sure it will be a great event! Thank you
